Who are you and what do you do at TGE?

My name is Dr. Alexandra Kowalczyk. After my studies in mechanical engineering with a focus on process engineering I did my PhD in the field of biogas plants. In 2019 I took over the position as Head of Project Engineering and Equipment.

You have been working for TGE since 2013. Tell us a little more about your career path at TGE.

After my PhD I started at TGE as a Project Engineer. In this position I could further develop my competencies with the support of all the colleagues I have been working with. Early I had the possibility to lead the engineering of an EPC project, deputise the Project Manager and lead commissioning activities. Continuing working on several projects and proposals in LNG and petrochemical industry provided me further the opportunity to gain more experience and responsibility. During this development I was promoted to Project Engineering Manager and then Senior Project Engineering Manager where I also took over part of the deputy duties of the Head of Engineering. In 2019 I was offered the position as Head of Project Engineering and Equipment.

What is the most valued experience at TGE you have gained?

This is difficult to say, as there are so many valuable experiences you gain during every project and proposal. In TGE you work always in a very multicultural team with all engineering disciplines involved as well as all other non-engineering disciplines required to complete an EPC project.
