History
It was in 2012, when TGE first set foot in Russia and completed the EPC contract for an LPG terminal with tanks of 2 x 20,000 m³ storage capacity, built 140 km west of Saint Petersburg. Only a few years later, TGE was selected as the main contractor for the Cryogas-Vysotsk LNG project: A medium-scale LNG Production and Trans-Shipment Terminal with an LNG capacity of 660,000 tons per year, located in the port of Vysotsk at the Leningrad Region (Baltic Sea).
After its completion, Russia’s president Vladimir Putin granted the start of the new LNG plant during the official ceremony at the port of Vysotsk, in April 2019. With the beginning of the project, TGE opened its Russian branch in Saint Petersburg, with EPC processing capabilities, which soon became an important location for further projects in Russia’s energy market.
