IMS Policy

TGE operates under an integrated management system (IMS) combining the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO / TS 29001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety).

We have expressed our commitment to client satisfaction and continual improvement in all these areas in a combined “IMS policy”.

Our most valuable asset for achieving these objectives is the expertise, experience and commitment of the people working for us. Therefore it is our explicit policy to integrate them well into our organisation and encourage them to contribute and participate.

TGE IMS is applicable to the operating units Bonn including the office in Manchester and the operating unit Shanghai. It is also fully applicable on construction sites where TGE is in charge of erection. The product and services covered by the scope of the TGE IMS are defined by the type of service and contract and by the purpose of the delivered hardware. The type of service and contract range from consulting, design, delivery and trade to construction/erection under the contract types E, EP, EP+CS or EPC, reimbursable or LSTK. The purpose of the delivered hardware includes recovery, separation, liquefaction, compression, storage and transfer of petrochemical and natural gases.

In view of subcontracted works the scope of the TGE IMS is limited by TGE´s actual ability to exercise control and influence. This may depend on the project specific situation.

Quality

Providing the customer with high quality products and services is a key element in TGE’s continued business success.
TGE has recognised the importance of effective quality management to ensure consistent performance on such high level. Therefore TGE has organised its management system in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO / TS 29001 and maintains respective accredited certification.

ISO / TS 29001 is a quality management standard specifically developed for product and service supply organisations in the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. In 2007 TGE became the first German company to be awarded a certificate of the ISO / TS 29001 standard by an accredited body.

Health & Safety

The health and well-being of our employees, as well as any other person potentially affected by our activities, is valued by TGE as an end in itself and not only as a means for business success. This is expressed in our company policy which states continued improvement in the area of health and safety as one of our key objectives.

In order to ensure that this objective is effectively pursued TGE has organised their management system to meet the requirements of OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series), an internationally recognised standard. Compliance with this standard is certified by an accredited certification body.

Health and safety aspects are considered in all TGE activities. Main areas for health and safety management are not only the construction sites under TGE control and TGE office related activities but also the operation of the plant after mechanical completion. The last area, safety during commissioning and operation, is a main focus in all TGE design activities. Extensive safety design reviews (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, Hazardous Area Reviews…) are being carried out as a standard way of working.

Environment

The environmental conditions, under which we live, will become more and more a key factor for quality of life. Due to increasing globalisation environmental conditions will depend even more on the actions and the behaviour of mankind.

Therefore it should be anybody´s and any organisation´s moral responsibility to control their activities in view of the environmental impacts.

TGE fully accepts this responsibility and commits itself to manage their activities accordingly. This is expressed in our company policy and the fact that environmental management has become an important pillar of our integrated management system. The management system is certified by an accredited certification body to be in compliance with ISO 14001.

Environmental aspects are considered in all areas of TGE activity. This applies to TGE work processes (e.g. managing construction sites, office work, planning travel arrangements…) as well as the operation of the plants that we design and deliver. Design activities are organised with a focus on environmental issues, especially the reduction of energy and resource consumption during operation. Particular environmental design review techniques (ENVOP) have been developed to support this.
