SENIOR PIPING ENGINEER (m/f/d)

- To undertake and lead design work on projects and proposals.
- To coordinate the pipe stress analysis as per the project requirements.
- Performing all piping related activities during different project phases, developing piping layout, assisting model reviews, set up of equipment arrangement together with piping studies and nozzle arrangement in E3D/S3D.
- Supporting and supervising 3D modelling of piping designers, generating and checking piping layout drawings, general arrangement drawings and isometric drawings.
- Ensure value engineering, optimizing piping layout and ensuring the selection of the right supports, ensuring constructability and maintainability and optimizing the piping loads to the surrounding load bearing structures.
- Undertake the role of Piping Lead in Projects.
- Coordination of interfaces to other disciplines involved.
- Ensure the quality of the project piping documents.
- Prepare Technical Specifications (Procedures, Stress Software related issues, Piping and Supports Specification etc.).
- Ensures that working procedures, technical specifications, norms and standards and project requirements are respected and enforced.
- Support the Procurement with preparation of MTOs, enquiries, purchase order preparation, evaluation of purchase orders and bid comparison between different vendors.
- Support the Construction site with clarifications on engineering documentation and site queries.
- To check and validate design work on projects and proposals.
- To assist with and contribute to business development, R&D projects and Piping department development.
- To liaise with other engineering disciplines during execution of the required work.
- To participate in client meetings and presentations.
- To provide support for sales and marketing activities.
- Engineering degree from a technical university in mechanical engineering or process engineering.
- 8+ years’ experience in relevant piping engineering.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software (E3D/S3D).
- Basic knowledge in Pipe Stress Calculations (static & dynamic) for chemical plants or power plants (CAESAR2, ROHR2 etc.)
- Good knowledge of MS Office Software tools.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (German language skills are appreciated).
- Readiness and flexibility for worldwide business trips and abroad assignments.
- Knowledge of applicable national and international codes and standards (PED, EN13480, ASME B31.3).
- Well-structured engineering / science related mindset and thinking.
- Good developed communications and interpersonal skills.
- Highly open minded, experienced in working in international teams.
- High self-motivation, team spirit and assertiveness.
