This role is essential to promote and optimise interface from engineering to procurement and construction activities with the aim to improve the design and the methods applied in order to reduce costs, risks and time. This role involves reviewing project plans, proposing construction methods, and ensuring that the project can be constructed as designed.
- Reviewing project execution plans, schedules and engineering/design documents to ensure they are feasible, efficient and in line with predefined requirements.
- Working with project construction management to develop construction strategy and ensure technical and financial aspects of the project are achievable.
- Support Construction Execution team with technical assistance/ support to achieve resolution of raised conflicts, problems or other unconformities.
- Ensuring the preparation of required project construction documentation for inquiry to Subcontractors, vendors and project execution.
- Contributing to Improvement of Company Construction standards, specifications, typical and procedures.
- Coordinating activities and resources needed for efficient execution of work.
- Conducting constructability studies and reviews to identify potential issues before they arise together with other departments.
- Assisting with technical bid evaluation and lead technical meetings with Subcontractors and Vendors in compliance with plans and specifications
- Leads technical review meetings and design review workshops.
- Supports internal development and improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, in Building Science, or a related field.
- Experience in EPC (in Oil and Gas), with a focus on project planning and execution in > 10 years construction experience across major projects.
- Knowledge of national and international codes and standards
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, German language knowledge is appreciated.
